The last thing a consumer products company wants is an idle production line. But sometimes employee productivity is too good for its own good. This rare occurrence recently happened to a popular snack food maker, when the workers got out ahead of their equipment.
As a result, the demand for box dividers exceeded the supply by 400 dividers. The throughput choke threatened to shut down the line.
Axis received the distress call at 4:30 in the afternoon and immediately sprung into action. A simple, hands-on solution presented itself. An Axis team member carefully hand packed his SUV with the 400 dividers that the customer needed. He then hopped into the driver’s seat and piloted the vehicle to the production site.
By 8:30 p.m., the line workers were fully outfitted again. This is a good example of how Axis drives customer loyalty.
